Elizabeth Woodson

Teacher, Author & Founder of The Woodson Institute

All of us live with some sense of longing—a dull ache constantly reminding us of the things our hearts desire that we do not have. Regardless of its object, any longing that persists over a prolonged period of time can be wearisome, leaving us asking: “How do I find joy in my life again?”

Through Biblical examples Elizabeth will lead us to discover the freeing power of biblical contentment, exploring how we can find joy when the life we have is not the life we hoped for.

Elizabeth Woodson

Elizabeth Woodson is a Bible teacher, theologian, author, and the Founder of The Woodson Institute, an organization that equips believers to understand and grow in their Christian faith. With over a decade of experience in church ministry, Elizabeth is passionate about creating pathways for discipleship and theological education in the local church.

Elizabeth is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a master’s in Christian education. She is a contributing author for World on Fire and the author of the book Embrace Your Life: How To Find Joy When The Life You Have Is Not The Life You Hoped For and From Beginning To Forever: A Study of the Grand Narrative of Scripture. She is also the host of the podcast Starting Place, where she talks about what Christians believe and how those beliefs connect to our everyday lives.

Missions Activity

Join the hands-on missions opportunity on Friday! In partnership with Mission Georgia and Pinnacle Retreat Center we will assemble gift bags for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel in Georgia. What an incredible opportunity we have to show our gratitude and the love of Christ!

Gift bags will be given to EMS first responders who will attend training at Pinnacle Retreat Center in 2025. In addition, women will be challenged to take a gift bag home to share with an EMS first responder in her own community!
