Barbara Palacios is a highly respected public figure with a distinguished professional career and a strong commitment to the integral development of individuals grounded in Christian values. As an inspirational author and Christian speaker, she travels internationally sharing a message of faith, hope, leadership, and purpose, guiding people toward a meaningful life aligned with biblical principles.

Her powerful communication skills, charisma, and genuine desire to impact others have positioned her as an international reference in leadership. Since being crowned Miss Universe 1986, Barbara has maintained an impeccable reputation and a solid professional trajectory, using her platform with integrity to inspire personal growth and ethical leadership.

Barbara is the author of three books: La Belleza de Saber Vivir, Lejos de mi Sombra Cerca de la Luz, and Atrévete a Ser Barbara. In Atrévete a Ser Barbara, she speaks especially to women, encouraging them to be courageous, confident, and bold, while upholding godly values, virtues, and ethics to develop their God-given talents. In 2014, she was recognized by People en Español magazine as one of the most powerful women of the year, and in 2016 she was honored at the United States Congress as one of the most influential Latina women for her contribution to the promotion of Hispanic culture in the United States.

Barbara holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing and a master’s degree in Theology. She actively supports numerous foundations and initiatives, advocating for vulnerable and at-risk communities. In 2022, together with her family, she founded Moved To Serve International, responding to God’s calling to support nonprofit organizations that assist victims of domestic violence and child abuse.

Married since 1988 to attorney Víctor Manrique and the mother of two adult children, Barbara is a living testimony of perseverance, integrity, and faith. Her greatest desire is to leave a lasting legacy that honors God and fulfills the purpose He has entrusted to her.

No matter what language you speak, serving together side-by-side knits our hearts together around our shared mission – to make Christ known to all people!

In partnership with Mission Georgia and the Baptist Mobile Health Ministries we will assemble hygiene bags to be given to patients across Georgia who will visit the units for dental and health care to share the love of Christ and hope of the gospel.


Goal: 1,500 Hygiene Bags

What do you need to bring? 

  • $10 gift cards for Walmart, gas, or fast food (McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, Arby’s)

The bag and items for the bag will be provided and on site when you arrive.
